MIMESIS IN ACTION: nuclear decommissioning as conceptual playground for societal & ecological future making

Mimesis in Action is a research project focused on landscapes, nuclear realities and future-making based at The University of Manchester.

We are conducting research in England, France, Scotland, and the Netherlands to examine assumptions driving human hopes and fears in planning and caring for the future around nuclear sites. This comparative project draws on social anthropology, ecology and foresight studies, combining ethnographic methods with experimental participative workshops.
